The LADDER UP® Safety Post provides safe, easy ladder access through Roof Access Hatches, Floor Doors and manholes. The telescopic post mounts permanently to the top two rungs of any Fixed Ladder, providing a secure hand-hold and enabling the user to enter or exit the opening in an upright and balanced position.
Available in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel or Aluminium construction according to specification.
Adjustable mounting hardware accommodates virtually any ladder rung size or spacing.
Telescoping design is spring-balanced for ease of operation.
Automatically locks in the fully-raised position to provide the user with a firm and steady hand-hold for safer egress.
Handy release lever allows the post to be easily lowered to its retracted position.
Available in four levels of corrosion resistance to provide many years of trouble-free, dependable service.
LU1 - Steel with black powder coat finish / weight: 11kg
LU2 - Steel, hot-dip galvanized / weight: 11kg
LU3 - Stainless Steel Type 304 / weight: 11kg
LU4 - Aluminium, mill finish / weight: 7kg
If installation is to be in corrosive atmosphere, specify Model LU-2, LU-3 or LU-4 as warranted by conditions.
Can also be used with TYPE BL-COMP Companionway Ladder if specified when ordering the ladder (modifications are required to the Companionway Ladder to enable LadderUP post fixing).
